8. Start-Up
a) Installing Spacer, Preparing Car Body
The vehicle is usually delivered without a car
body.
Depending on the car body used, the correspond-
ing spaces must be installed at the vehicle chas-
sis, and the matching holes must be drilled in the
car body.
These holes can be made with a common spiral
drill or a special car body drill.
Also remember to drill another hole for the aerial
tube after placing the aerial cable for the receiver
(see chapter 8 b).
b) Installing the Receiver Aerial Cable
Now remove the car body. Remove the car body splints and take off the body upwards.
Unwrap the aerial cable completely and smooth
it out carefully. Then insert the aerial cable through
the attachment at the vehicle from below and then
through the included aerial tube.
Plug the aerial tube into the respective holder at
the vehicle (see arrow in the figure on the right).
Let any excess antenna cable protrude loosely
from the tip of the antenna tube.
To more easily thread the aerial cable through
the holder, we recommend removing the battery
holder. For this, turn out the four screws that has-
ten the battery holder to the chassis.
Make sure that the aerial cable does not protrude into the drive or touch the cardan shaft! It is normally
sufficient to slightly tighten the cable or fix it in place with a cable binder. Never shorten the aerial cable!
Never roll up the aerial cable! This greatly reduces the range!
