f) Connecting the Driving Battery to the Speed Controller
First switch off the speed controller. Put the On/
Off switch (see arrow in the figure to the right)
into the “OFF” position for this.
Then switch on the transmitter (see chapter 8. c)
and d).
To prevent a sudden starting of the wheels and therefore an uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable surface (or starting box), so
that the wheels can turn freely in case of an error.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels.
Now connect the driving battery to the speed controller. Ensure correct polarity (red cable = plus/+, black cable =
minus/-).
g) Switching on the Speed Controller
Put the on/off switch of the speed controller (see figure in chapter 8. f) in the “ON” position. Then wait for a few seconds
(leave the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position; do not move it).
The speed controller recognises the current position of the throttle/brake lever automatically as neutral position.
The motor emits a short beep and then a confirmation sound (“DO-RE-MI”), then the current position of the throttle/
brake lever is stored as neutral position; the LED at the speed controller lights up green. The cruise control is now
ready for operation. You can steer the vehicle with the transmitter.
The sounds are generated by a short start-up of the motor by the speed controller. Depending on motor,
the sounds may be very low.
If the drive of the vehicle starts although the throttle/brake on the transmitter is in the neutral position, then
adjust the trim on the transmitter until the engine stops.
Now check the drive and steering function of the vehicle.
h) Attaching and Fastening the Car Body
Push the aerial tube from the bottom of the body through the respective opening. Put the car body onto the supports
and secure them each with car body clips.
