c) Restoring Speed Controller Basic Settings (Reset)
Resetting the speed controller is not possible when it is in programming mode.
• Place the vehicle on an appropriate surface so that the wheels can turn freely. Never reach into the drive, and to not
hold the vehicle at its rims.
Attention!
Right after reset, the drive starts up, because neutral position and full throttle positions for forward/reverse
driving were also reset.
• Check the position of the on/off switch of the speed controller and place it in the „OFF“ position (switched off = push
slider away from the setup button).
• Switch on the transmitter if you haven’t done so already. Check its function (e.g. operation display of the transmitter).
• Put the switch for receiver power supply to the „OFF“ position.
• Connect the receiver power supply.
• Put the switch for the receiver power supply in the „ON“ position.
• Connect a fully charged 6-cell LiPo battery (rated voltage 22.2 V) to the speed controller. Ensure correct polarity (red
cable = plus/+, black cable = minus/-).
Proceed as described in chapter 8. e) or 5. b). First connect the two-pin battery connection, then connect
the plug in the red battery cable.
If you do not observe this, light arc may occur when plugging in the vehicle. This will not only damage the
battery plug connection but also may cause defect to the speed controller, loss of warranty/guarantee!
• Switch on the speed controller and wait for a few seconds. The speed controller is now in normal operation mode;
the vehicle can be controlled (steering, forward/reverse driving).
• Now hold down the setup button for approx. three seconds. The red and green LEDs will flash together. Then
release the button.
Now all speed controller programmings are reset to factory settings.
The drive/motor usually starts up now, because neutral position and full throttle positions for forward/
reverse driving were also reset!
Therefore, programme the neutral position and the full throttle positions for forwards and reverse driving
as described in chapter 10. a).
