The product shows the time of the day on an easily readable analogue clockface. It 
also features an integrated thermometer and a hygrometer.

The time is set automatically using an integrated DCF receiver. It can also be set 
manually wherever there are reception problems.

   The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to

   For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifi ca-

tions of the product are not permitted. Never dismantle the product.

-

   The product is intended exclusively for use in dry interiors; it must not get damp 

or wet.

-

   This product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. Only use 

the product out of the reach of children; the product contains parts that can be 
swallowed as well as batteries.

-

   Condensation may form when the product is brought from a cold room into a 

warm one. Therefore, wait until it has reached room temperature before using it.

-

   Do not leave the packaging materials unattended. They may become dangerous 

playthings for children.

-

   Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental 

drops, even from a low height.

-

   Batteries/rechargeable batteries do not belong in the hands of children.

-

   Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk that 

they could be swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor im-
mediately.

   Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin 

can cause acid burns, therefore, use suitable protective gloves.

   Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown 

into a fi re. There is a risk of explosion!

   Normal, non-rechargeable batteries must not be charged. There is a risk of ex-

plosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; 
use a suitable battery charger.

   Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery/rechargeable 

battery (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).

Insert a Type Mignon/AA battery into the battery compartment (1) on the back of 
the case. The polarity for plus/+ and minus/- is marked on the battery compartment.

In order to ensure enduring and secure operation you should use a high-quality 
alkaline battery.





A rechargeable battery may be used, but due to the lower voltage output 
(rechargeable battery = 1.2V, standard battery = 1.5V) and the lower capac-
ity, the service life is much shorter, which means that rechargeable batteries 
need to be frequently changed/charged.

 

 If you still wish to use a rechargeable battery, we recommend you use a 
NiMH battery with low self-discharge.

As soon as the batteries have been inserted into the radio clock, all three hands 
move to the 12 o’clock position. Next, the radio wall clock attempts to receive the 
DCF signal (see section: “Getting started”). 

Replacing the batteries is required if large time differences suddenly occur or the 
hands of the radio wall clock are standing still.

If you do not intend to use the radio wall clock for a long period (e.g. if it is to be 
stored away), remove the battery fi rst. If batteries grow old, they can leak and dam-
age the battery compartment of the radio wall clock, leading to loss of warranty!

The DCF signal is encoded and transmitted 
via a DCF transmitter in Mainfl ingen  (near 
Frankfurt). Its range is up to 1,500 km and, 
under ideal reception conditions, even up to 
2,000 km.

Among other things, the DCF signal in-
cludes the precise time (theoretical devia-
tion of 1 second in a million years!) and the 
date.

Naturally, this also eliminates the hassle of 
manually setting summer and winter time.

Immediately after the battery is inserted, the device makes a fi rst attempt to receive 
the DCF signal. All three hands of the clock move to a specifi ed position (12:00) and 
automatically set themselves to the current time after successfully receiving the 
DCF signal.





The recognition and processing of the DCF signal can take from 3 to10 min-
utes. Do not move the radio wall clock during that time. Do not press any 
buttons!

 

 Bad reception can be caused, for example, by metalised insulated glass, rein-
forced concrete buildings, coated special wallpapers, proximity to electronic 
devices, or installation in basements.

If the correct time is not shown after 10 minutes, change the position of the radio 
wall clock and briefl y press the RESET button (2). This will start a new reception 
attempt.

Alternatively, remove the battery from its compartment for a few seconds and then 
reinsert it.

If no DCF reception is possible at the installation location, the radio wall clock can be 
set manually. For this, follow the instructions in the next section.
