Inhalation treatment has proven effective for 2000

The Greeks of antiquity already knew the curative effects
of inhaling certain substances. The physician Paretaios
recommended that patients with lung complaints should
spend time on the seashore or take long boat trips.
Breathing in microscopically small salt particles carried in
the air from sea spray actually does have beneficial health
effects.
Later, these effects were also harnessed farther inland
with the preparation of salines. Similar facilities are still in
use today in some health resorts, providing salt-enriched
air to alleviate the suffering of many with diseased lungs.

Areas of use
The sterile INQUA
®
inhalant is used for moistening the
upper and lower airways, by atomising with an electric
nozzle nebuliser (such as the INQUA
nozzle nebuliser (such as the INQUA

inhalator), or with
an ultra sound nebuliser; for example as a secondary
therapy for treating colds (e.g. coughs and sniffles), when
the air is excessively dry after prolonged periods in air-
conditioned or heated rooms. The INQUA

inhalant en-
sures adequate moistening of the mucous membrane in
your airways, thereby preventing the unpleasant sensa-
tion of dryness. This also helps your airways clean them-
selves naturally, which is noticeable not only with inflam-
mation but also in locations where the air is less clean
(e.g. with higher quantities of dust and harmful chemicals
