Adjusting the Trim/List Unit
1.
Measure the trim and list angles of the ship.
A ship´s trim is the difference between the draft forward and
draft aft. The trim-angle is defined as
draft aft. The trim-angle is defined as

Aft trim is positive and forward trim is negative.
The list angle can be established by hand dipping towards
the water surface from port and starboard rails. The list angle
