TIME DEFROST OPERATION
TIME DEFROST
This function quickly defrosts food while enabling you to choose a suitable defrost period, depending on the 
food type. Follow the example below for details on how to operate this function. The time range is 0:05 – 95:00.
Example: To defrost the food for 10 minutes.
1. Press the WEIGHT DEFROST/ 
TIME DEFROST button twice.

2.  Enter the cooking time by 
rotating the ENTRY dial until the 
display shows:
3. Press the START/+30sec/ 
CONFIRM button to start 
defrosting.
 
(The display will count down 
through defrosting time)
Notes for Time Defrost: 
•  The preset microwave power level is P30 and can not be changed.
•  Before freezing foods, ensure food is fresh and of good quality.
•  If necessary, shield small areas of meat or poultry with flat pieces of aluminium foil. This will prevent the 
areas from becoming warm during defrosting. Ensure the foil does not touch the oven walls.
•  After defrosting the audible signal will sounds fi ve times and the LED will then display time of day, if the 
clock has been set.  If the clock has not been set, the display will only show "0:00" when defrosting is 
complete.
 AUTO 
MENU 
OPERATION
The AUTO MENU programmes automatically work out the correct cooking mode and cooking time of the foods 
(details on page GB-14). Follow the example below for details on how to operate this function.
Example: To cook 300 g carrots by using the AUTO MENU function for fresh vegetables.
1. Rotate the ENTRY dial 
and select the desired 
auto menu
 
(A-1 to A-8)
2. Press the START/
+30sec/ CONFIRM 
button to confi rm 
the setting.
3.  Enter the desired 
weight by rotating the 
ENTRY dial.
4. Press the START/+30sec/ 
CONFIRM button to start 
cooking.
 
(The display will count 
down through the set 
cooking time.)
NOTES:
•  The weight of the food can be input by rotating the ENTRY dial until the desired weight is displayed. Enter 
the weight of the food only. Do not include the weight of the container.
•  For food weighing more or less than the weights given in the AUTO MENU chart on page GB-14 cook by 
manual operation.
