Status Icons indicate the various operating characteristics of the radio. The icons show operating modes 
and conditions and appear on the third line of the display (see Table 9-3). The battery icon indicates 
approximate level only, based on battery voltage. 

 

– “Busy” transmitting or receiving. 

 – call queued. 

 

 – special call mode (individual or telephone). 

 

 – during all radio transmissions. 

 

 – transmit at low power. 

 – transmit at high power. 

 

 – battery charge indicator. 

 

 – Low battery indicator. 

 

 – Indicates the current channel is set up as 

an analog channel. 

 

 – trunked system in Failsoft

™

 mode. 

 

 – group or channel in scan lis.t 

 

 – priority 2 group or channel. 

 

 – priority 1 group or channel. 

 

 (rotates clockwise) – scan mode enabled. 

 – scan is disabled. 

 

 – transmit in encrypt mode. 

 – receiving an encrypted call. 

 

 – Indicates the current channel is set up as a 

ProVoice or Aegis channel.
