Enters chassis command mode.

Server# scope chassis

Step 1

After a prompt to confirm, resets the server.

Server /chassis # power hard-reset

Step 2

This example resets the server:

Server#

scope chassis

Server /chassis #

power hard-reset

This operation will change the server's power state.
Continue?[y|N]

Shutting Down the Server

If any firmware or BIOS updates are in progress, do not shut down the server until those tasks are complete.
