Provisioning for Switches in North America
In most of North America, your telephone company can properly provision your ISDN line when
you provide them with an ISDN ordering code (IOC) or EZ-ISDN code. ISDN Ordering Codes are
a set of U.S. industry standards developed by the National ISDN Users Forum (NIUF).
Summarizing a specific set of ISDN features and services, IOCs contain all the configuration
information needed to quickly and easily provision an ISDN line. IOCs are accepted by most U.S.
telephone companies. The NETGEAR Model RT338 router supports the following ordering codes:

Note that the IOC-S capability package does not enable any supplemental voice services such as
call waiting. You must ask your ISDN service provider to enable them for you, and you must
inform the service provider if you want these services enabled for one or both of your ISDN
channels (directory numbers). Specifically, you need to have Additional Call Offering (ACO)
enabled in order to use call waiting or incoming call bumping or call rollover.
