Using FirstGear to Configure Internet Access
General Tab
Use the fields of the General tab, shown in
, to set parameters that identify your router.
This tab is automatically displayed when you open the Advanced Setup window.

Router Name
Choose a descriptive name for the router for identification purposes (e.g., MyRT338).
This name should be no more than eight alphanumeric characters. Spaces are not
allowed, but dashes ( - ) and underscore marks ( _ ) are accepted.
