Defining access privileges
Based on the access privileges you assign, multiple user groups are built and maintained. The 
access level granted to these users will allow them to view (read) and execute (write) specific 
commands.
Assigning an access level is not a required parameter for adding a user.
Table 2-1 lists access level arranged in order from most-to-least privileged.
The next two tables illustrate the differences between the user-privilege levels as they pertain to 
the actual commands available to anyone given access to use a 5100/6100 VDR.

Most privileged user position, having full control over the management of users and 
the configuration of the VDR (Only users with root privileges can create, delete, and 
display user account information.)

Can read and write all configuration changes options and manage the interfaces of 
the VDR, but cannot modify the user account information

Can read and write the Voice interface configuration and also read the system 
configuration and static routing configuration
writelink
Can read and write the WAN interface configuration and also read the system 
configuration and static routing configuration
writedata
Can read and write any of the data interface configurations (DHCP server, NAT, 
LAN IP address) and can also read system configuration and static routing 
configuration
read
Only allows the user to read any of the configuration
