The standard model of the printer is equipped with a parallel port and a USB
port. Depending on where you purchased the printer, a LAN port is also
available as an option. Each connection method is described in this section.

The printer interface cable is not provided with the printer and must be

Windows Connection
The printer can be connected via the parallel port for Windows. If you are
using Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows 98, the
printer can also be connected via the USB port.

Plug in the matching end of the parallel cable to the parallel port on
the back of the printer, and secure the connection with the wire clips.

printer cable if the connector moves slightly this does not indicate anything
abnormal.
