How it works

Duplicating hard drives with the Kanguru HDD Duplicator is quick and easy. To begin, follow these four 

simple steps.

• Connect the master/source hard drive using the appropriate cables.

• Connect the target hard drives using the appropriate cables.

• Power on the Kanguru HDD Duplicator

• Navigate through the intuitive menu and select one of the following duplication methods:

◦ Disk Copy – Disk copy is for making an exact disk clone.

◦ Brief Copy* – Brief copy is for making a clone which only copies sectors that contain data.

◦ Resize Copy* – Resize copy is for making a clone when an increase in storage space is required. 

Resize copy allows you to copy data from a smaller to larger hard drive.

• Once the appropriate duplication method has been selected, begin the duplication process.

• Wait for the duplication process to complete. The duplication progress and time will be displayed 

on the duplicator’s LCD screen.

• Once finished, disconnect your hard drives and use as needed.

Congratulations, you now have a cloned hard drive!

*Functional only on select file systems
