LLDP-Media Endpoint Discovery (LLDP-MED) is an enhancement to LLDP with the following 
features:

Autodiscovery of LAN policies (such as VLAN, Layer 2 priority, and DiffServ settings) and 

capability to enable plug and play networking.

Device location discovery for the creation of location databases.

Extended and automated power management of Power over Ethernet (PoE) endpoints.

Inventory management, which lets network administrators track network devices and 
determine their characteristics such as manufacturer, software and hardware versions, 
and serial and asset numbers.

Before you configure the LLDP and LLDP-MED settings for individual ports, configure the 
global LLDP and LLDP-MED properties that apply to all ports of the smart switch.



Click System > LLDP > Basic > LLDP Configuration.
