Configuring VCS for External XMPP Federation
This section takes you through the steps required to configure your VCS for external XMPP federation.
Prerequisites
Ensure that you are running the following software versions:

VCS X8.2 or later
■
Unified CM IM & Presence 9.1.1 or later
Note that XMPP federation can only be supported on a single VCS cluster.
Before configuring your VCS system for external XMPP federation:

Ensure that Interdomain XMPP Federation has been disabled on Unified CM IM and Presence:
Go to Cisco Unified CM IM and Presence Administration > Presence > Inter Domain Federation > XMPP
Federation > Settings and ensure that XMPP Federation Node Status is set to Off.
