OL-21580-01
  Features From Previous Releases
Base Station Identifier (D4) Attribute
The base station identifier (BSID) attribute represents the BSID, which is a number formed by
combining the SID (4 octets), NID (4 octets) and cell identifier (type 2 of 4 octets).
While sending the access-request, Cisco PDSN checks whether the required CLI command, cdma pdsn
attribute send d4 {auth-req | fa-chap | online-req}
, is enabled. If the CLI command is not enabled, the
attribute is not sent in the authentication-request message to the AAA server. The BSID attribute is added
for prepaid online access-request message in much the same manner.
PCF IP Address (D3) Attribute
The PCF IP address attribute represents the IP address of the serving PCF; in other words, the PCF in
the serving RAN. While sending the access-request message, Cisco PDSN checks whether the required
CLI command, cdma pdsn attribute send d3 {auth-req | fa-chap | online-req}, is enabled. If yes, Cisco
PDSN sends the PCF IP address attribute set to the PCF IP address in the authentication-request message
to the AAA server. The PCF IP address attribute is added for prepaid online access-request message in
much the same manner. If the CLI command is not enabled, the attribute is not sent in the
authentication-request message to the AAA server.
User Zone (E1) Attribute
The user zone attribute represents the tiered services user zone. While sending the access-request
message, Cisco PDSN checks whether the required CLI command, cdma pdsn attribute send e1
{auth-req | fa-chap | online-req}
, is enabled. If yes, Cisco PDSN sends the user zone attribute in an
authentication-request message to the AAA server. This attribute is added in much the same manner for
prepaid online access-request. If the CLI command is not enabled, the attribute is not sent in the
authentication-request message to the AAA server.
NAS Port Attribute
The NAS port attribute represents NAS port identification. While sending the access-request message,
Cisco PDSN checks whether the required CLI command is enabled. If yes, Cisco PDSN sends the NAS
port attribute set to the NAS port identification in the authentication-request message to the AAA server.
For prepaid online access-request messages, this attribute is already sent by default. If the CLI command,
cdma pdsn attribute send nas-port include-in-authen-req, is disabled, the attribute is not sent in the
authentication-request message to the AAA server.
Framed IP Address (B1) Attribute
The framed IP address attribute represents the IP address of the MS. While sending the access-request
message, Cisco PDSN checks whether the required CLI command, cdma pdsn attribute send b1
auth-req
, is enabled. If yes, Cisco PDSN sends the framed IP address attribute set to 0.0.0.0 in the
authentication-request message to the AAA server. For prepaid online access-requests, this attribute is
already sent by default. If the CLI command is disabled, the attribute is not sent in the
authentication-request message to the AAA server.
