Note
The 600 Series OfficeExtend Access Point restarts when any change is applied on local the GUI. For example, 
changing the settings for the personal SSID causes interruption to the corporate SSID. It recovers only after the 600 
Series OfficeExtend Access Point rejoins controller.
Note
You do not need to configure any SSIDs for your 600 Series OfficeExtend AP to connect to your company network. 
The access point receives the company SSID when it connects to the company network by way of the Internet. If 
you have problems connecting to your company network, contact your IT administrator. You can configure your 
local SSID WLAN for other devices. Refer to the Cisco Aironet 600 Series OfficeExtend Access Point User Guide 
for more information.

Associating with Cisco Virtual Wireless LAN Controller
For Cisco 600 Series OEAP to associate with Cisco Virtual Wireless LAN Controller, follow these steps:
Step 1
Configure the OEAP to associate with a physical controller that is using 7.5 or a later release and download the 
corresponding AP image.
Step 2
Configure the OEAP so that the OEAP does not associate with the physical controller again; for example, you can 
implement an ACL in the network to block CAPWAP between the OEAP and the physical controller.
Step 3
Configure the OEAP to associate with the Cisco Virtual Wireless LAN Controller.

Resetting the unit
To reset a 600 Series OfficeExtend AP, while the unit is powered on, hold the reset button dowon for 5 seconds to restart the 
unit. Then hold the reset button down for 20 seconds to clear the configuration and restart the unit with the factory default
settings.
