Cisco Prime Collaboration uses Cisco solutions for optimizing medianets that are instrumented within medianet-

Nonmedianet Routers and Switches
If video endpoints are connected with either third-party devices or devices that do not have medianet capabilities,
SNMP read-only access should suffice.
Medianet-Capable Routers and Switches
If video endpoints are connected to
-capable Cisco devices, much more diagnostic information can be
polled out from these devices by using medianet instrumentation within the Cisco devices. More information about
