How to Create an ODBC Connection to the Reporting Database

In the Create a New Data Source to SQL Server dialog box:
a.
Enter a Name of your choice. Remember this name, You will select it when you create a database

At the second Create a New Data Source to SQL Server dialog box:

If you have a login account on SQL Server,
select the button for With SQL Server authentication
using a login ID and password entered by the user.
If not, select With Windows NT authentication....

Click the button for Client Configuration to open a secondary dialog box (Edit Network Library
Configuration).

New Data Source... dialog box.
