Advanced (Recording pictures)
∫ Select the film you would like to use with [MULTI FILM]

Press 2/1 to select [MULTI FILM], and then press 4.

Press 3/4 to select multifilms 1 to 3 and press 2/1 to pick 
out the films you wish to use as the multifilms.
One press of the shutter button automatically records the picture to 
a selected number of films (up to a maximum of three films).
Note
In film mode, the camera may do something equivalent to pull processing or push processing to 
create a picture with particular characteristics. The shutter speed may become very slow at this 
time.
Noise may become visible when you take pictures in dark places. To avoid picture noise, we 
recommend setting [NOISE REDUCTION] towards [_] or setting the items except 
[NOISE REDUCTION] towards [`] to take pictures.
When you adjust the film mode, film mode name is displayed in orange on the LCD monitor.

.
Set the number of pixels. The higher the numbers of pixels, the finer the detail of the 
pictures will appear even when they are printed onto large sheets.
Applicable modes:
 
∫ When the aspect ratio is [4:3].
¢ This item cannot be set in the Intelligent auto mode.

Increases the difference between the brightness and the 
darkness in the picture.

Decreases the difference between the brightness and the 
darkness in the picture.
[SHARPNESS]

The picture is sharply defined.

The picture is softly focused.
[SATURATION]

The colours in the picture become vivid.
[`]
The colours in the picture become natural.
[NOISE REDUCTION]
[_]
The noise reduction effect is enhanced. Picture 
resolution may deteriorate slightly.

The noise reduction effect is reduced. You can obtain 
pictures with higher resolution.
