Setting the journal report to
print automatically

M0“OFF”: The unit will not print a journal report, but will keep a record of the
last 30 fax transmissions and receptions.
M1“ON” (default): The unit will print a journal report automatically after every
30 new fax transmissions and receptions (page 30).
Sending documents
overseas
MBNM2NM3N
If you cannot send a fax overseas even if the number is correct and the line is
connected, activate this feature before sending the fax.
This feature improves the reliability by reducing the transmission speed.
M0“OFF”: Deactivates this feature.
M1“NEXT FAX”: This setting is effective only for the next attempted fax
transmission. After transmission, the unit will return to the previous setting.
M2“ERROR” (default): When the previous fax transmission fails and you wish
to re-send the document.
Note:
R Calling charges may be higher than usual.
Sending a fax at a specified
time

This feature allows you to take advantage of low-cost calling hours offered by
your telephone company. This feature can be set up to 24 hours in advance of
the desired time.

To send a document:
1. 
Insert the document.
2. If necessary, press MJN or MKN repeatedly to select the desired resolution
3. MMENUN A MBNM2NM5N
4. Press M1N to select “ON”. A MSETN
5. Enter the fax number. A MSETN
6. Enter the transmission start time.
R If you select 12-hour time entry (page 22), press MGN repeatedly to select
AM or PM.
R If you select 24-hour time entry (page 22), the time is set using 24-hour
time entry.
