If your configuration includes a properly configured secondary video output, medi-
aCTRL Center will detect it and use it automatically, starting in full-screen mode.
Double-clicking in mediaCTRL Center toggles rendering window status. In mono-
screen configuration, the display is managed automatically when the remote control is
used; you may select the “Show/Hide” option of the system tray menu to force display
of mediaCTRL Center.
In all cases, mediaCTRL Center output displays the “AwoX living room” when
started, waiting for requests (see Figure 5).

Video Hardware Configuration
The simplest possible setup for mediaCTRL Center is as follows: your PC screen and
speakers are used to display media output. The system is usable “as is” but it is much
more interesting to use a dedicated video output for mediaCTRL Center. This feature
is called “Multiple Monitors”: the additional “monitors” can be either regular CRT or
LCD PC monitors but the term also applies to TVs if your video card has a TV output.
To use an additional monitor or TV output, you must configure your PC to have it rec-
ognize the additional hardware. This is required independantly of the way the addi-
tional output is connected to your PC.
