To replace the half height tape drive in your library (or both half height tape
drives) with a full height tape drive, follow these steps.

Disconnect the power cord, the SCSI or Fibre Channel cable(s), and the
terminator (if present).

Remove the tape drive cover plate. Set the plate and the screws aside.

Removing the cables, cooling plates, and tape drives—

Pull the tape drive a short distance out of the library and disconnect the
serial cable (
