9.  Setting up the Transmitter
In the further course of these instructions, figures in the text always refer to the adjacent figure or the figures
within the section. References to other figures are indicated with the corresponding figure number.
a) Inserting the Batteries
The power supply of the transmitter requires 6 AA/mignon batteries (e.g. Conrad Item No.: 652506, order 6x).
  Important:

Use batteries only (1.5 V/cell) instead of rechargeable batteries (1.2 V/cell) for transmitter power supply. If
rechargeable batteries are used, the flight battery cannot be charged sufficiently in the model helicopter (the
flight battery can be charged via the transmitter).

We recommend only using high-quality alkaline batteries in the transmitter.
Proceed as follows to insert the batteries:
The 3 compartments for the transmitter batteries are on
the back of the transmitter casing.
Press up the latch (1) of the middle battery compart-
ment lid (2) and remove the lid. Insert four mignon/AA
batteries into the battery compartment according to the
indications at the bottom (3).
Then reattach the battery compartment lid (1) and let
the latch (3) catch.
Slide the covers of the right and left battery compart-
ments  (4)  off  downwards.  Insert  one  mignon  battery
each  into  the  battery  compartment  according  to  the
indications at the bottom.
Slide  on  both  battery  compartment  lids  again  from
below until the latches (5) catch again.
