USB Removal
To remove the USB cellular modem from the USB WWAN NIM, you must first remove the USB locking
bracket (if installed). If the locking bracket was not installed, skip to Step 4.

Instructions for Removing a USB Cellular Modem

Remove power from the base unit.

Remove the NetVanta USB WWAN NIM from the base unit.

Remove the USB locking bracket by removing the screws from the bottom of the NIM.

From the front of the NIM (using a small flat-head screwdriver), depress the silver locking tab
located at the top of the USB connector, removing the modem at the same time.

Caution:
Always secure the
bracket with the screws.
Insert the tab of
the locking bracket
into the slot.
