11. Enter the IP address for the gateway.
12. Enter the netmask for a subnetwork if appropriate.
13. Enter y to the prompts shown in the following screen example. 
14. To confirm the configuration, enter the ifconfig command and review the output.
15. Log out.
Configuring Basic Networking Using the OSD
Using the OSD requires a hardware connection already made between the OnSite’s Local User ports and a 
local monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as described under “To Connect to the Local User Ports” on page 4. 
When the OnSite and the monitor connected to the Local User video port are powered on, the OSD login 
screen appears on the monitor screen.

To Configure Basic Network Parameters Using the OSD
1. Enter “admin” as the Login name. 
2. Enter the “cyclades” as the Password.
If you are logging in as admin, the OSD Main Menu appears. 
3. Change the admin password.
a. Go to Configure>Users and Groups>Local Users> Change Password from the OSD Main Menu.
b. Select the admin username.
c. Enter the password and confirm the new password.
4. From the Main Menu, go to Configure>Network and select “DHCP.” 
5. Select the “disabled” option and go to the IP address screen.
6. Enter a static IP address for the OnSite and go to the Netmask screen.
d. Enter a netmask (if needed) and go to the Gateway screen.
e. Enter an IP address for the gateway and to the DNS Server screen.
f.
Enter an IP address for the DNS server and go to the Domain screen.
g. Enter the domain name and to the Hostname screen.
h. Enter the hostname for the OnSite and save the changes to complete the basic network 
configuration.
Gateway IP[eth0] : gateway_IP_address
Network Mask[#] : netmask

Do you want to save your configuration to Flash? (y/n)[n]: y
