1.4 Connecting Serial Cable

Connect to Com 1

Connect to RS-232

Serial Cable

The following will not work if the serial cable is not connected as in the above figure:

1. Sensor Function

2. Control Function

3. PAN/TILT Function

4. External Monitor Output

" If the serial cable is not connected, DVR will not work properly, or will restart

every 10 minutes.

" Check to see that the serial cable is appropriately connected to the

connectors.
