Adjusting the display of home screen icons
You can change the number of icons displayed on the home screen, so that between 1 to 4 columns are shown. While 
learning to use the smartphone, some users find the 1 Column setting easiest to use.
Set the number of icons that appear on the home screen
1.
On the home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2.
Click Accessibility.
3.
Change the Home Screen Grid Layout field.
4.
Press the 
  key > Save. 
Set the trackpad sensitivity
You can set how the trackpad responds to your touch. A high sensitivity level requires less pressure than a lower sensitivity 
level; 20 is the least sensitive, while 100 is the most sensitive. When learning to use the smartphone, some users find a 
sensitivity level of 20 the easiest to use.
1.
On the home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2.
Click Typing and Language > Trackpad Sensitivity.
3.
Change the Horizontal Sensitivity field and Vertical Sensitivity field.
4.
Press the 
  key > Save. 
Turn on or turn off Key Describer mode
The BlackBerry Screen Reader provides a feature called Key Describer mode, which helps you learn and remember the 
layout of the keyboard and keys on your BlackBerry smartphone.
• To turn on Key Describer mode, press the right convenience key twice and press any button or key on your smartphone. 
The BlackBerry Screen Reader will echo the key pressed and help you create a map of the key layout from memory.
