Caveats
This section describes resolved problems for client adapter firmware release 4.23.
Resolved Caveats
When a client adapter with LEAP, WEP, and mixed-cell support enabled associates to an access point
that has EAP and mixed WEP enabled, the client authenticates successfully but is unable to receive
broadcasts from the access point (CSCdt38879).
that has EAP and mixed WEP enabled, the client authenticates successfully but is unable to receive
broadcasts from the access point (CSCdt38879).
The most notable symptom is the inability of the client to receive a DHCP-assigned IP address. If the
client is assigned a static IP address, it is able to successfully send and receive directed traffic. If the
client associates to the same access point with WEP disabled, it can receive both broadcast and directed
traffic.
