CAUTION:
Installing GQAM software version 4.2.1 may overwrite the existing IP
addresses for the GQAM GigE ports. Therefore, you must locate and write
down the IP addresses of the GQAM GigE ports provisioned on your
system for the GQAMs that you are planning to upgrade.
7 Follow these steps to locate and write down the IP addresses of the GQAM GigE
ports provisioned on your system that you are planning to upgrade.
a On the front panel of each GQAM you are planning to upgrade, press the

Important: Be sure to match each GigE IP address with the correct GQAM.

DNCS match the IP addresses that display on the front panel LCD screen of
each corresponding GQAM you are planning to upgrade.
8 Do the GigE IP addresses match?
If yes, go to step 6.
If no, change the GigE port IP addresses in the Set Up GQAM GUI to match
the IP addresses shown on the front panel LCD screen for each
corresponding GQAM you are planning to upgrade. Then, go to step 6.
Note: If your GQAM will carry VOD sessions, documenting current sessions is
not necessary. VOD sessions are set up as needed when a DHCT requests a
session.
