Introduction
This chapter provides recommendations for the frequency with which system
operators should back up the data of their Digital Broadband Delivery System
(DBDS). By performing regular backups, system operators are assured that
their valuable data will not be lost should they ever experience a failure of a
major component of their DBDS system.
System operators can back up their data to either 4-mm data tapes or 8-mm

tape cleaning recommendations.
