Support Tools 2.4(1) is no longer supported in Release 9.0(1).
Active Directory and DNS considerations for upgrades
Active Directory considerations for Technology Refresh upgrades
The new servers must be in the Active Directory domain in the appropriate Unified ICM
organization unit. IP connectivity and remote access must be validated.
Note: Release 9.0(1) supports Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory controllers. Steps in
this document for configuring Active Directory relate to Windows Server 2008 R2. Consult the
Microsoft documentation for Windows Server 2008 for details on Windows Server 2008 Domain
Controller configuration.
The ICM-CCE-CCH Installer does not allow any Unified ICM components to be installed on
a domain controller. If you run the ICM-CCE-CCHInstaller (fresh install or upgrade) on a
domain controller system, the Installer will exit with an error message. The software can be
installed on a non-domain controller system only.
When setting up the Active Directory environment, if the existing Loggers are also domain
controllers, it may be necessary to migrate the domain controller roles to new non-Unified ICM
