Enhanced Database Migration Tool (EDMT) for
Unified CCE 9.0(1)
Introduction
The Unified ICM/Contact Center 8.0(x) or 8.5(x) and above Logger and HDS database schemas
are migrated to the Unified CCE 9.0(x) database schema using the Enhanced Database Migration
Tool (EDMT) during the upgrade process.
EDMT is a wizard application used to migrate the Unified CCE database during the upgrade
process. It can be installed on the destination server (see
 for
additional information). The time required to complete a data migration varies in a direct
relationship to the database size (the larger the database size, the longer it takes to migrate) and
the server hardware performance level.
EDMT requires prerequisites be completed (see
 for
additional information) prior to running the application (see
additional information).
Note:
• Sub-skill groups are not supported in Unified CCE 9.0(1). Support for sub-skill groups
continues, however, for Unified ICM 9.0(1) – and thus for TDM peripheral gateways (as
configured in Avaya PG, Symposium PG, Spectrum PG and NEC PG peripherals). EDMT,
and thus, the upgrade, will not be allowed to proceed while Unified CCE sub-skill groups
are present. It is recommended that you run the utility, Sub-Skill Group Evaluator (SSGE),
prior to attempting the upgrade. See Chapter 1,
for impact and recommendations. See later in this chapter for more
information on SSGE.
• EDMT cannot be used if the source and target servers are the same server. For same server
Tech Refresh, the SQL Server Management Studio must be used instead. Details on how to
