Haptic Feedback 

Vibrate the phone when softkeys are tapped, and for certain 
software actions. 

•  From the Sound menu, under Feedback, tap Haptic 

feedback to turn on the option. 

Emergency Tone 

You can choose to have a tone play, or have your phone
vibrate, periodically during an emergency call.  

•  From the Sound menu, under Feedback, tap Emergency 

tone to select a tone playback option: 

• Off: No tone or vibration plays during emergency calls. 

• Alert: A tone plays during emergency calls. 

• Vibrate: A vibration plays during emergency calls. 

Samsung applications 

These options let you modify sound settings associated with 
several frequently-used apps. 

1.   From the Sound menu, under Samsung applications, 

tap one of the following apps to access the settings: 

• Call: allows you to modify settings for call alerts, ringtone and 

sound settings, and Voicemail sound settings. 

• Messaging: allows you to modify settings for the Messaging 

app. 

• Email: allows you to modify settings for your Email accounts. 

• Calendar: allows you to modify settings for event notification in 

your Calendar app. 

2.   Follow the on-screen instructions to update your app 

sound settings.
