  Install the SAS controller, and press it down to seat.

  Disconnect the SAS cable from the system board and connect it to the SAS 

controller ("SAS cabling" on page 

 

  CAUTION:  To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do 

not operate the server unless all bays are populated with either a 
component or a blank.

  Power down the server ("Powering down the server" on page

  Remove the bezel ("Unlocking the bezel" on page 

3.

  Remove the access panel ("Removing the access panel" on page 

4.

  Disconnect the cables from the rear of the CD-ROM drive.
