8.3 Requirements

8.4 Design

8.4.1 Functional

[R1-1] The RFID Reader shall provide the same functionality as the prototype based on RFID A1-1 v2.0.1460
firmware.

8.4.2 Electrical

[R2-1] The RFID Reader shall provide ESD protection on the I2C Data and I2C Clock lines.

[R2-2] The RFID Reader shall provide power supply, ground, I2C Data and I2C Clock signals via Molex 70553-0038
connector.

[R2-3] The RFID Reader shall have 4.7 kΩ pull-up resistors on I2C Data and I2C Clock lines.

[R2-4] The RFID Reader pinout on the connector shall be as follows:

1.  I2C Data
2.  +3V3 Vcc
3.  Ground
4.  I2C Clock

[R2-5] The RFID Reader shall work with a power supply of 3.3V ±0.1V capable of sourcing at least 200mA.

8.4.3 Interface

[R3-1] The RFID Reader shall provide an I2C interface with 7-bit address 0x20.

[R3-2] The RFID Reader shall provide an interface which is the same as the interface of the prototype based on RFID
A1-1 v2.0.1460 firmware.
