Setting up the Inceptor on your mobile device
To get started:
1. Make sure your Inceptor is fully charged.
2. You should have received an email we sent to all
Indiegogo backers with an invite to the Father.IO FPS
beta - make sure you check the inbox of the email you
used to do the preorder. If you have not received the
email you can request beta access writing to support@
proxy42.com, quoting your name, surname and
Indiegogo order number. Once you have the access,
you can proceed with the beta install.
3. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
4. From the Father.IO FPS beta you’ll be guided through
the process of creating an account and connecting
(pairing) your Inceptor to your mobile device. Pairing
makes sure the Inceptor and mobile device can
communicate with one another (sync their data). You’ll
be asked to scan the QR code you find inside the
packaging to activate your Inceptor.
5. After setup you’re ready to play!
PLEASE NOTE: IN ORDER TO PLAY IN FIRST
PERSON SHOOTER MODE YOU NEED AT LEAST
ANOTHER PERSON (EQUIPPED WITH AN INCEPTOR
DEVICE) TO PLAY AGAINST.
Understanding the LED indicator lights
Your Inceptor has different LED indicator lights. The lights
behave differently depending on what the device is doing,
also during the game. Discover more on:

Charging
With normal use, your Inceptor battery should last up to
five days (in standby) before needing a recharge.
To charge your device, equip yourself with a MIcro USB
charging cable and plug it into the USB port on your
computer.
When the Inceptor LED becomes green your device is
fully charged.
Updating your Inceptor
Free feature enhancements and game improvements may
be made available for your Inceptor through firmware and
app updates.
Updating the firmware on your device takes few minutes
and is demanding on the battery. We recommend that you
charge your device before updating or while the update is
in progress.
You can update the Inceptor by using the “Father.IO App”.
You’ll see a notification when the update completes.
