The performance of SSD is faster than HDD, 

although the capacity is much smaller. Choosing 

two individual SSD with RAID 0 can be regarded 

as a large capacity of SSD, which enhance both 

read and write performance. 

RAID 1 mode (mirroring) backup the identical 

data among 2 drives to prevent data loss from 

unexpectedly SSD failure. 

 

R2420 is same as a general external enclosure 

when choosing JBOD mode, but it may be 

embedded two SSDs/HDDs or combined one 

SSD and one HDD for exchanging data from 

various hard drives.

 

Different test environments may present various performances.

Performing a theoretical speed up to 5Gb/s, 

USB3.0 is 10 times faster than USB2.0. While 

using SSD, it fully increases efficiency of the 

entire system. 

 

Coming with a concept of reducing energy 

consumption, R2420 and O.S. are synchronised 

for green and cost saving. 

 

 

A simple tray ejection design, R2420 can be 

easily installed SSD or HDD without any screws.
