3.5.2 Initial configuration with AT commands
You can perform the initial configuration alternatively with the software HSComm as
described in the previous chapter.

Start your terminal program or the terminal window of HSComm.

Set the serial interface settings to the standard values: 19200 baud, 8 data bits, 1
stop bit, no parity:
AT**BAUD=19200
AT**FORMAT=8N1

If the INSYS GSM is in an undefined state, reset it optionally to the factory settings

Enter the PIN.
Example: Entering the PIN 1234:
AT**PIN=1234
If the PIN of the SIM card is deactivated, enter only AT**PIN=.

Check the field strength of the GSM signal: (see Chap. 3.9)

The GSM signal should have a field strength of at least 12.
For lower values or the value 99 you will need to change the antenna location.
