 If there is no motion vector arrow specified, any of the selected regions will trigger a 

motion alarm. 

 

Motion vector regions with motion detected are identified with a 

 square.  If the camera is set to record “Motion Alarm Only”, 

then the camera will not record individual motion vector regions 

that are detected, or multiple regions that are detected but not in 
the correct order.  

 
If the camera is set to record “Motion”, it will record using the 
motion settings set up in the “Recording Mode” tab. 

 

When the motion alarm is triggered, the camera records in alarm 
mode and the motion vector regions are not displayed. 

Motion alarms also include the ability to schedule the alarm recording period, trigger a relay, and notify 

operators locally, remotely, or by e-mail.  To access the advanced settings for motion alarms, click the 
“Advanced Settings” button from the “Motion Alarm” Tab.
