If
the
AIX
or
Linux
operating
system
is
installed
on
a
disk
array,
the
RAID
disk
array
may
be
used
as
the
boot
source.
You
may
receive
this
adapter
preinstalled
in
a
hot-swap
carrier
for
use
in
certain
system
types.
This
carrier
allows
the
adapter
to
be
installed
and
removed
without
removing
the
top
cover
of
the
system.
For
handling
instructions,

your
system.
If
the
adapter
does
not
fit
in
your
system,
the
handle
may
need
to
be
removed
in
order
for
the
adapter
to
fit
properly.

Operating
System
Requirements
To
ensure
that
your
operating
system
will
support
the
PCI-X

Channel
Ultra320

RAID
Adapter,

verify
that
your

Using

on

installed

oslevel
-r
.
Verify
that
the
maintenance
level
displayed
is
5100-04,
5200-01,
or
higher.

no
maintenance
level
is
installed
on
your
system,
the
