*** Generally, the number is the MSN given by the network provider (e.g. British
Telecom) without the dialing code.  If your ISDN-Controller is connected to the
internal S0 bus of a PBX, use the MSN of the respective extension.  For more
information, please refer to your PBX manual.
More detailed information about the application interface CAPI is available on the
Internet at http://www.capi.org.
Version 01.02.00 for Windows NT and 2000
The ISDN CAPI Port Device Driver is a universal ISDN connectivity solution for
the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 operating systems. It facilitates
the use of Remote Access Services (RAS) and Dial-Up Networking connections to
the Internet and to on-line services.
Technically, the ISDN CAPI Port Device Driver mediates between the
UNIMODEM architecture of Windows NT/2000 and the applications interface
COMMON-ISDN-API 2.0 (CAPI). The CAPI 2.0 interface, a manufacturer-
independent standard, is provided with all ISDN-Controllers and loaded by each
Controller's installation program.
Virtual modems
After simple installation in Windows NT/2000, the ISDN CAPI Port Device
Driver supplies up to eight virtual modems which are immediately available for
