planning. To estimate a power budget, simply total the wattage of each installed module, making 
sure the combined wattage consumed is no greater than 100% of the output of the power 
supply(ies).

For example, if you install one CM and FM, three fan trays, and six IOMs (X‐G32‐00) at 
1500 Watts/220 Vac, your total power required is 1735 watts. You would be required to install a 
minimum of two power supplies to support this configuration or three power supplies for N + 1 
redundancy. A second example including two CMs and FMs, six fan trays, and sixteen IOMs 
(X‐G32‐00s) at 1160 Watts/110 Vac would yield 3040 watts, requiring a minimum of three power 
supplies for this configuration or four power supplies for N + 1 redundancy.
