Use the 

clear ip tcp header-compression 

command to clear TCP compression 

statistics either for all enabled interfaces or for a specific interface. To clear for all 
enabled interfaces, do not enter an interface type and number.

 [<interface type> <interface number>]

X330WAN-2USP-1(super)# clear ip tcp header-compression

Use the

 description 

command to set the description of the interface. The 

no

 form 

of this command removes the interface’s description.

This command can also be executed from the Serial, Loopback, Fast Ethernet, 

and FabricFastEthernet interfaces.

X330WAN-2DS1-1(config-if:FastEthernet1)# description vlan5

Use the 

idle-character

 command to set the bit pattern used to indicate an idle 

line. The 

no

 form of this command restores flags as the idle line indicator (default).

interface type

The type of interface.

interface number

The interface number. 

desc

A string describing the interface, up to 80 characters.
