Cayman 2E-H User’s Guide

Using the Command Line Interface

set pinhole internal-port internal-port

Specifies the port number your Cayman 2E-H should use when 
forwarding traffic of the specified type. Under most circumstances, 
you would use the same number for the external and internal port.

You can use the following commands to configure basic settings, 
port authentication settings, and peer authentication settings for PPP 
over Ethernet on your Cayman 2E-H.

set pppoe { on | off } 

Enables or disables PPP over Ethernet on your Cayman 2E-H. You 
must enable PPPoE before you can enter other PPP settings.

set PPP module option { on | off } 

Enables or disables PPP on the Cayman 2E-H. By default, PPP is 
turned off. 

set PPP module mru integer 

Specifies the Maximum Receive Unit setting for the PPP interface. 
The 

 argument can be any number between 128 and 2048. 

By default, the MRU value for PPP over Ethernet is 1492. 

set PPP module magic-number { on | off } 

Enables or disables LCP magic number negotiation. By default, magic 
number negotiation is turned on. 

set PPP module protocol-compression { on | off } 

Specifies whether you want the Cayman 2E-H to compress the PPP 
Protocol field when it transmits datagrams over the PPP link. By 
default, protocol field compression is turned off.
