Telephone setup
With Smar tPhone, analog devices such as telephones, facsimile machines, or modems can connect to the 
Netopia Router and communicate over the ISDN line. The Netopia Router with Smar tPhone provides:
full call routing between director y numbers and phone jacks
inbound and outbound call preemption
priority ringing based on CallerID
Note: To see whether your Netopia Router suppor ts Smar tPhone, look for the two RJ-11 jacks, marked Phone 1 
and Phone 2, on the back of the router.

Logging
You can configure a UNIX-compatible syslog client to repor t a number of subsets of the events entered in the 
router’s WAN Event Histor y. See

Select Logging from the System Configuration menu.
The Logging Configuration screen appears.
By default, all events are logged in the event histor y. 
By toggling each event descriptor either Yes or No, you can determine which ones are logged and which are
