Interfaces

You can configure the 5100/6100 VDR to interoperate with a Copper Mountain or Lucent 

DSLAM. Three commands are used to configure the SDSL WAN interface:
•

set  wan  dslam 

•

set wan encap

•

set wan data protocol 

Other parameters that might need to be set depending on the DSLAM type include:
•

baud  rate

•

band rate mode

•

data format

Note. For all commands, a Copper Mountain example is given first and then a Lucent 

Stinger example is given. 

Figure 3-2 shows the SDSL WAN interface default settings.
