Automatic Transmit Buffer Length
Automatic transmit buffer length is the absolute position in the compose buffer of the DOS
terminal that barcode or auxiliary input data must equal or exceed in order to produce an
automatic transmission. This position count includes the first three characters of the form (form
message header).
You can set the LXE DOS terminal to automatically transmit when a barcode scan or auxiliary
input entry occupies or exceeds a set character position in the compose buffer (data entry area of
the DOS terminal). An automatic transmission relieves the operator from having to press a key to
initiate a transmission.
Typical Application
You may wish to change the automatic transmit buffer length when you send a form that requires
the DOS terminal to automatically transmit at a different character position than the previous
automatic transmit buffer length.
Rule:  The operator must scan data or initiate RS-232 input for automatic
transmission to occur.
