U: Load a Stored Form and Fill it with Data
Expanded Function U is a message that loads a form from the stored forms file to the form
buffer and then to the compose buffer. It then fills the form with any text that is contained in the
message.
Application
You can use Expanded Function U to load a stored form and fill it with data from the host
computer in all or some fields. You can enter data in unprotected fields depending on the form
design.
See Expanded Function G for more details on filling the form with data.
Attributes

Example 2
Assume that a form is sent to a DOS terminal that is filled with data for the part number (12345),
quantity (100), and location (A4L20). The DOS terminal operator needs to verify that the correct
quantity is 100.
1.  The host computer sends the following message that contains caret characters that
protect 12345 and A4L20 (the part number and location fields) from operator entry.
<02SYUA^12345\100^A4L20C
R
L
F

2.  The slash character turns off the protect flag and allows the operator to enter data
into the quantity field. The next caret symbol turns the protect flag back on so that
the operator cannot enter data into the location field.
